Ruth L. Mbambi is a distinguished legal professional, whose extensive career, wealth of knowledge, and dedication to advancing justice positions her as a prominent figure in the legal landscape. Her career as a legal expert spans close to two decades marked by profound expertise and extensive experience. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education; a Masters Degree in Human Rights Law and Law Degree (LLB) both from the University of Zambia. Currently, Ruth is the Registrar of the High Court's Family and Children's Division. She has served as Senior Resident Magistrate at Lusaka, District Registrar and Senior Research Advocate at the Supreme Court of Zambia.
Ruth has made substantial contributions to legal literature with publications like "Service Charters on Simplified Court Processes and Procedures." She is the author of an article on the domestication of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Zambia which was published in the 2014 University of Zambia Law Journal. She is a member of prestigious organizations such as the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ); Zambia Association of Women Judges (ZAWJ); the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL); and the Magistrates and Judges Association of Zambia (MAJAZ).
